Blogroll Links is simply a widget provided to WordPress users by default. It basically displays a list of links that go out to different sites. After some patience and research, I came to a conclusion that if the required scenarios (mentioned below the video) are true, blogroll links are actually beneficial both to the linking site and the site being linked. In the video, I’m talking about whether or not blogroll links are bad for SEO purposes. Here’s what I have to say on the same.
My Opinion On BlogRoll Links
When Are The BlogRoll Links Good?
To have a positive impact on SEO and a good user for the visitors, you need to make sure the following things are true.
- The Site Being Linked Is Completely, Totally, Entirely, Utterly, Absolutely and Fully relevant to the niche of your site.
- No usage of different anchor text is being done. The site’s name should be the text for the link.
- The linked site should not be spammy, or considered to be spammy or malware by Google or any other search engine.
- Even though it might be your own site, make sure it is related to the niche of the current site. Linking a ‘gardening’ blog from an ‘SEO’ blog is just imprudent.
Make sure the above factors are true, and the links should definitely do good for your blog/site.

I have also used links like this as well. You are absolutely right. As long as the links on the site relevant then you have nothing to worry about. I have had sites jump big time with these kinds of links. However, it is important to make sure that you have diversity. That is the key.
