Different people define “Stand out From the crowd” differently. I am, hence, going to define it differently as I’m talking about “Blogging” here. When it comes to blogging, choosing a niche is where many beginners get confused and honestly, it is a bit confusing as there are thousands of questions which arise in the minds. Some only want to become a blogger to earn money while some have a deep passion for blogging, where the first priority is to show the real meaning of the word “blogging”.
When it comes to stand out from the crowd when blogging, it might be difficult for many not because of the content, but some other things which I’ll discuss down here. I’m not very sure whether you’re practicing these to stand out from the crowd, but if you are, then it’s a great news indeed!
Do You Really Stand Out Of The Crowd?
“I Speak A Different Language”
Well, you know what I mean by the term ‘language’ here. I’m talking about the writing style. If someone says that he doesn’t have any chance of writing better in a different way than the current bloggers in that niche, just because the blog is all about tutorials then I would say that he is 100% incorrect! That’s because a somewhat talented and pretty much willing person has an ability to give his own style in probably all the things which he does in his life. If I can give a simplest example, I would give the following – If a person says “Hey, waddup?” and you say “Hi, how are you”, then you’re speaking a ‘different language’..! So to stand out from the crowd when blogging, you better speak a but ‘different language’.
“I Stitch My Own Clothes”
(Practically, I don’t!) Do you? Wait! I’m talking about your blog’s design! If you’re like me, who loves to visit new and different blogs daily, then you must have observed that MANY not some blogs have the same blog design and theme. Undoubtedly the content is totally different, but yet seeing the same theme on several blogs might just be boring sometimes and pull you away when you want to stand out of the crowd. I do understand that even though there are millions of WordPress/Blogger themes out there, not all are liked by everyone and I do agree that not all are as beautiful and satisfying as the one you might be using currently. But there’s something you can do and here’s how I define that ‘something’ -
- Get a Framework (such as Thesis or Genesis).
- If you’re good at coding, it’s time to use your time and talent and make your blog stand out from the crowd.
- If you’re not good at coding, buy a unique skin for the framework. Honestly, there are many skins for the above mentioned frameworks but the best ones are being used by many. But look for new developers who sell Thesis Skins or Genesis skins and go for those ones.
If you’re planning to go for the Thesis Framework, I would love if you could wait for some time until I get my skins ready to enter the market!
“I Believe I Stand Out From The Crowd Because I Write For My Readers”
If you believe in yourself, there’s a very high probability that your readers also do the same. I understand that everyone wants to get on that first page of search engines, but then that doesn’t mean you’ll leave your readers confused. Take the search engine as a normal reader of your blog and write your posts in the way you would write to a normal person! The solution always lies within your thoughts. All you need to do is to pull the trigger.
So if you say the above statements loudly, you probably stand out from the crowd. Many of you might be like “Why hasn’t this guy talked about content!”. Honestly, you all know about the need and demand of quality content, hence writing it again here would just occupy some more space and increase the number of words, that’s it!
So what do you have to say about yourself? Do you believe you stand out from the crowd? Let us know down in the comments section!

I totally agree with you Raaj. Yes to be a successful blogger you should stand out in one or the other way from crowd otherwise your blog may lost in this online world which is already flooded with blogs in almost every niche.
The point, I like most in your post is “I Believe I Stand Out From The Crowd Because I Write For My Readers”.
Obviously all of us are blogging for reader’s sake only. Even if you want to earn money through your blogs that wouldn’t be possible till the time you get readers. So writing for your readers and in a language that they can easily comprehend makes you stand out from the crowd.
Also I believe that there are available only a few good themes and rather than trying to use a new theme to make your blog look different from others, it’s better to use a popular theme. Just personalize it to give your blog a different look.
